During our monthly Zoom Art Skill Class, we be creating an abstract painting using contrasting colors. This art skills class will help you understand how to use contrasting colors and value to add interest to a painting.

Art Supplies

• Cup of water

• Paper towel

• Art Canvas Board (11” x 14”) or Art Paper (at least 11” x 14”, 120lb or more)

• Paint Brushes - Large 1 inch brush and a 3/8 inch brush (diagonal cut hairs on the brush are best for the 3/8 inch)

• Acrylic Paints - An array of colors of that you love, but at minimum you will need blue, red, orange, yellow, green, white and black. (Liquitex Basics or Amsterdam Basics are great for this activity. It is recommended to not use Flow Acrylics or Heavy Body for this activities as these will take too long to dry)

• Acrylic Pens or Sharpies (any colors)

• Oil Pastels (if you don’t have them, you can use crayons, markets or color pencils).

If you love metallic paints - feel free to also bring Golden Deep Fine Gold or Golden Fine Silver, but not required.
