In 2019, when people looked at my life, it seemed exemplary. 

I had achieved the American ideal of female success - the supportive husband, a beautiful daughter, a home in a great neighborhood, a successful executive role and to round out the picture, a joyful dog, named Jake. 

Yet, despite this idealistic looking life, at three o’clock every morning, I would wake up with debilitating panic attacks.

Learning how to work with fear, allowed me to create more beauty for myself and others.

Trying to navigate this realization of needing to do something, became really scary.  I began to look for answers, specifically in the past. What did the women before us do when they wanted to create change?

I landed on the Women’s Suffrage Movement.

These awesome books and wonderful podcast uplifted me so much recently.

These books and podcast were such a wonderful reminder that there is good to be seen in humanity.

When we take a closer look at how society portrays women, we realize it is usually from an un-authentic view. My new series flips society’s lens of women on its head and bring joy, celebration and healing to our stories.

Posting positive qualities about myself on notecards around the house, helped to rewrite my internal voice.
